On October 14, 2020, NYHealth hosted a webinar on how home-visiting programs have adapted during the pandemic to provide continuous support to expectant and new parents in New York City.

Home-visiting programs provide essential education, tools, and support for low-income families in New York and are a key tool to improve maternal and birth outcomes. During the spring’s shutdown orders, many programs found innovative pathways to safely continue providing client services.

Rachel Schwartz, Senior Director, Maternal Child Health and Poulette Brewster, Director, Queens Healthy Start from Public Health Solutions shared more about their organization’s work to support expectant and new parents during the ongoing pandemic.
