The United Hospital Fund and the Greater New York Hospital Association are hosting the 32nd Annual Symposium on Health Care Services in New York virtually this year. The symposium is designed to foster understanding and collaboration around health care practice and research in New York State.
The keynote speaker is Aletha Maybank, M.D., M.P.H., Chief Equity Officer and Senior Vice President, American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Maybank will discuss the AMA’s three-year strategic plan to embed racial justice and advance health equity. She will also share strategies to mitigate health disparities, including physician diversity initiatives, data collection, and partnerships and investments to benefit the broader community.
Panel presentations will showcase current health care services research and include topics on how specific populations have been affected by COVID-19 and perspectives on vaccinations for the health care community.
