The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health and wellbeing of many New Yorkers, especially those who have faced job loss, isolation, stress, and trauma. At the same time, a new generation of workers is entering the workforce with higher expectations and demands for mental health support from their employers.
To start, New York City health commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan will explore the City’s role in meeting residents’ need for mental health care. The discussion will touch on how the City plans to build on established health care initiatives to address inequality, quality of life, and access to care.
Afterwards, there will be a session on discovering innovative strategies and best practices to support mental health wellness in the workplace. Attendees will gain valuable insights into creating a culture of wellbeing that benefits both employees and organizations.
