The national community crowdfunding platform ioby is hosting a workshop on July 23rd to provide guidance and tips for its Healthy Neighborhoods Challenge application process. The Healthy Neighborhoods Challenge is an NYHealth-funded project that supports residents taking an active role in creating a culture of health across New York State neighborhoods. By employing citizen philanthropy, ioby’s campaign leverages NYHealth funds to provide a 1:1 match for crowdsourced dollars raised to carry out projects in Healthy Neighborhoods Fund communities. If applicants are accepted, the crowdfunding donations they receive through ioby will be doubled dollar-for-dollar for up to $10,000.
The workshop will cover:
- How to apply for matching funds.
- Case studies of past successfully funded projects.
- Tips for successful crowdfunding campaigns.
