NYHealth invites you to attend its webinar series, “Practically Speaking,” that will share actionable ideas to better serve New Yorkers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This session will focus on tools and strategies to support frontline workers, supervisors, and organizations to cope with high stress, build resilience, and reduce the impact of vicarious trauma.
Throughout the pandemic, New York’s essential workers—such as those in social services, health care, deliveries and warehouses, grocery stores, and public transit—have been on the front lines, working tirelessly to keep New Yorkers safe and healthy. These workers have been providing services to and caring for New York’s most vulnerable communities, while often managing uncertainty, illness, and grief in their personal and professional lives. Supporting and caring for these workers is vital.
Please join for us for a webinar with Lisa Furst, Assistant Vice President, Center for Policy, Advocacy, and Education at Vibrant Emotional Health, and Tuhina De O’Connor, Executive Director at Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) Health and Research Foundation, Inc., to hear more about training, technical assistance, and peer support efforts for promoting self-care practices and implementing a framework for health care, behavioral health, and social service organizations to support the emotional wellbeing of their employees.
