Information Briefs about The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

These NYHealth-funded materials, created by the Health Care For All New York (HCFANY), are one-page consumer education briefs highlighting how the new health reform law, known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), affects small business owners, seniors, children, young adults, and women.

The ACA has put in place provisions that will allow for tax credits for small businesses; key changes to Medicare; comprehensive health care for all children; a low cost health plan option for young adults; and stronger insurance regulations that will benefit women and mothers.
