Among the data available though the New York State Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) are those related to self-rated health status, insurance coverage, level of exercise, presence of diabetes, alcohol consumption, tobacco use, sexual behavior and cancer screening, etc.
Demographic group data include gender, age, ethnicity, education, income, and region. Although there are no specific data on co-occurring disorders, mental health and substance use providers will find these other health indicators useful.
