Under health reform, health insurance exchanges will serve as the central marketplace for individuals and employers to access public and private insurance options and be the new gateway to enrollment. Effective exchanges will transform current insurance enrollment processes and provide a modern, consumer-friendly, and easy-to-use experience.
To meet this challenge, the New York Health Foundation has partnered with some of the nation’s health funders to collaboratively support the design of a first-class, front-end interface for the exchanges. Known as the Enroll UX 2014 project, it is focused on understanding the behavior and needs of all potential users in order to develop a no-wrong-door enrollment system.
This webinar describes the proposed range and flow of potential design elements to support an online insurance enrollment process. Note that the prototype does not yet reflect policy choices to be made by states, actual language to be used, or the final look and feel of the online portal.
