The National Center for Civil and Human Rights will host a six-part virtual series to address key areas of disparity in mental health treatment. The series will virtually connect registrants and panelists to explore topics on mental health and marginalized communities. Registrants can:

  • Learn about the intersection between mental health and issues like racism, young people in marginalized communities, people living with HIV, and homelessness;
  • Understand the landscape for mental health parity laws in the United States; and
  • Discover strategies for practicing trauma-informed care relating to gender-based and intersectionality-based violence.

  • May 4th at 2 p.m., “States’ Failing Mental Health Parity Laws”
  • May 18th at 2 p.m., “Mental Illness Among Young People in Marginalized Communities”

  • June 15th at 2 p.m., “Human Rights, HIV/AIDS, and Mental Health”
  • June 29th at 2 p.m., “Homelessness and Mental Health”
