The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) is celebrating its 175th anniversary of advancing health equity. NYAM tackles the barriers that prevent every individual from living a healthy life.  This event will honor the individuals and organizations that have worked to dismantle barriers that stand in the way of achieving health equity. Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation; Dr. Olajide Williams, Founder of Hip Hop Public Health Inc.; and Doug E. Fresh, Founding Artist of Hip Hop Public Health Inc., will each be honored with an award at the event.
